Bio
Growing up in Ormond Beach, FL, my childhood was filled with sun and fun – surfing, water skiing, swimming, fishing and spending most of my moments outdoors.
I attended Rutgers University and graduated in 1977 with a BA in Creative Writing and Minors in Art and Economics. In 1989, I returned to school to get my Graphic Design degree from the Daytona Beach Center for Graphic Design Technologies and later earned a Masters degree from the University of Georgia in 2004.
The many places I have called home include Ormond Beach, FL; the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii (Laie); New Orleans, LA; Fort Worth, TX; Dalton, MA and for the past 32 years, Atlanta, GA.
My very varied work life includes being a lifeguard in Daytona Beach; restaurant manager in Fort Worth; Food Buyer at the Hyatt Hotel in New Orleans; stockbroker in Dallas; running my own business in Hawaii and living my dream as a production artist/graphic designer for the past 30 years until my retirement in 2021.
I am a very passionate sports fan, and my favorite teams are the Kansas City Chiefs, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. I was honored and fortunate as a senior in high school to serve as captain of our undefeated football team in Dalton, MA. I also played one year of football at Rutgers.
I have been married to Martina for the past 23 years and we have two great kids – Sienna, a sophomore at UGA, and Kaidan, a senior in high school.
